Flexible working; increasingly on offer but does it work for you?

Company Secretaries work hard and their remit means that workloads will rise and fall according to the annual corporate cycle. Throw one-off projects and new legislative requirements into the mix and there’s no let up. Flexi-time or remote working arrangements can help; but do they really ease the burden all round?

I have an experience where virtually everyone i have worked with is a part-time worker and does flexible hrs. within a ten hour shift work, the excellent communication among team members and management whose priority is to open offices on time and provide the best services to clients allow us to arrange between us who opens, who comes in to stay, who closes up, and who is available for emergencies not once in my six years has top management struggled with someone going sick and leading the business to fall into disarray.

So, all i can say is through excellent communication and good management,flexible working hours can get the work done, promote employment for many rather than few, take away the stress of long working hours and reduce any unnecessay staffing problems.

If any employer out there is thinking of cost, then i can assure them any cost will be minimal compared to the benefit of happy employees doing excellent jobs and client sataisfaction.
