I remember first joining BLT as a fresh faced grad straight out of university, safe in the knowledge that VAT was 17.5% and that was all I needed to know. Who was to tell that a decade later this recruitment lark would prove an immensely enjoyable and fruitful career? Since then the Indirect Tax market has continued to expand and diversify – there are more commercial jobs and overseas opportunities for starters – and gone are the days when submitting cvs was a somewhat tortuous process involving a franking machine and hand-written compliments slips! So thanks to all you VAT & Customs specialists I’ve had dealings with over the last 10 years whether as clients or candidates, and here’s to the next ten!
