I have just returned to work after six months maternity leave and am busy getting up to speed with the exciting world of Indirect Tax recruitment. It’s good to see that the market has remained buoyant and there is still a range of great roles for candidates to choose from.
It seems that more and more commercial organisations are realising the potential impact of VAT on their business and recruiting their first VAT manager or expanding their VAT teams. The practice market also seems strong with consultancy businesses recruiting for new teams set up to assist businesses with the ever changing challenges VAT presents.
The problem of a shortage of candidates doesn’t seem to have gone away though. I am sure it’s because everyone is too busy going out for Christmas drinks to think about moving jobs!
