If the lure of warmer climes wasn't already too much to bear as the autumn draws near CSS try desperately to remain professional as the ‘Gateway to the Americas’ comes to Chancery Lane.

Well, not literally, but offered against the comparative smog that is London, you can imagine our excitement when a company secretarial opportunity arose in Miami last week. Great discussion regarding who will be conducting the client visit proceeded, only to be told our contact is still in England… the disappointment was audible!
But alas, as the dedicated professionals we are, the ‘Cruise Capital of the World’ shall remain a greater reality for you than it will for us. We are, none-the-less, very excited to be working on this project and thought we would write a ‘blog’ to demonstrate why this role is particularly appealing...
• It goes without saying that Miami is ‘cool.’
• Miami is the only United States city to be planned by a woman, Julia Tuttle.
• And it is the only city bordering two national parks: Everglades and Biscayne (careful of those alligators!)
• For those of you who appreciate architecture its skyline ranks 3rd in the U.S behind Chicago and New York (and 18th in the World!).
• Miami is a centre of world finance with 135 financial institutions and foreign agencies located here and more than 500 multinational corporations!
• Sport is an important part of the Miami culture; the Miami Heat basketball team defeated the Dallas Mavericks last year in the NBA Finals causing quite a stir. Miami itself has also hosted the Super Bowl nine times in recent years!

• The Miami music scene reflects its diverse cultural mix: from Reggae to Kompa, from Gloria Estefan to Marilyn Manson.
Well, the list goes on and quite frankly I’m just getting myself down (notice how I failed to dwell on the beaches, average hours of sunshine per year and entertainment of the city!) but if you are currently living in Miami (and if you are I’m sure you will say I have left off a few interesting facts and achievements) check out the job advert for this role and don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested!!!
